What is Spot Trading? It’s the act of buying and selling an asset at the current market price for instant delivery, i.e. the immediate transfer of asset ownership.

>> More guidelines for Spot Trading can be found here.

What is Futures Trading? A futures contract is simply an agreement between two parties to transact a particular asset at a specific future time, at a negotiated price. At its best, it helps traders improve their capital allocation with the introduction of margin and leverage, hedge portfolio risks, and smooth out turbulence.

The key difference between Spot trading and Futures trading is the ownership of assets. Spot traders acquire the actual asset ownership when transactions are completed, but futures contracts can be settled in cash only, i.e. finalized with the transfer of associated cash positions. One thing that also distinguishes spot trading from futures trading is the omission of minimum equity requirements. Some futures contracts may require a lower bound of investment for one single contract.

For the Futures trading products on Bitget, we strive for an inclusive product design so that every user can find their own solution: Bitget USDT-Ⓜ Futures for cautious traders, Bitget Coin-Ⓜ Futures for crypto-geeks.

>> More guidelines for Futures Trading can be found here.

What is Copy Trading? It refers to the trading that investors copy other investors’ trading movements automatically and instantly.

In terms of scale, Bitget is the world’s largest digital copy trading exchange, where over 12,000 professional traders have accumulated a total income of US$100 million and their 380,000 followers more than US$120 million. Bitget’s One-Click Copy Trade is designed to meet the needs of every investor. Beginners will learn by copying orders from a professional of their choice and profit from their expertise, while crypto geeks can establish new streams of passive income as Bitget’s professional traders. Commissions for professional traders are up to 8% of their followers’ profits, thus creating a “win-win” environment for all our users.
